My Silent Hero

My business partner here in Manhattan, Sebastiaan Obivate, never ceases to amaze me. Sebastiaan is also the designer for the lovely Sebis Fashion label for men and women fashions. I have always admired his designer skills, so of course I would jump at the chance to work with him in any capacity. Sebastiaan is very talented, but never toots his own horn about his designs. Always the gentleman and a joy to have on my side, is how I would describe him.

This weekend Sebastiaan had a fashion show with the JOL Agency in secondlife to showcase his work. I was very surprised, seeing as he never mentioned it until showtime. Just another example of his silent graciousness. I wanted to shout about it from all the roof tops and out of all the windows. I was very proud. The show was a success. The setting was a walk in the part, with a nice park setting for the models to parade around on. I was trying to take a lot of pics but they came and went so fast. Plus, we all know SL and slow rezzing. I was like, ughhhh, but did manage to get a couple.One of Sebastiaan and I  watching the show and one of one of the "Trendy" Models, Sarlah Maggs, in one of the outfits. Sarlah was working it!

Sarlah Maggs is pictured in Sebastiaan's Cynthia outfit. I could explain it, but,will repeat what the runway announcer said about it, which is a better rendition...." Cynthia, is entering the runway, styled by LusciousSarlah. A total runway design, totally Manhattan look. Again another, office, to night out outfit" now isn't he handsome too! I might have a crush, LOL.

Ralphs is the Retro Place to Hang - Totally!!

Do you enjoy the 1980’s? Like to hang out in an old dinner? Get waited on by a waitress dressed in 80’s uniform? Then you have to try Ralphs.

I was just down there sipping on an ice cold coke through a paper straw, swinging back and forth on the swivel chair, feet dangling. It was soooo dreamy!! Some guys came in and started to play the juke box. (I got a brand new pair of roller skates, for real??? Can you believe it?)

Next thing they were asking me to dance. Party time!! It was a hoot. Get some retro and come to the meet and greet at Ralph’s. Bring a date or meet someone there. Jeans and tanks but remember Disco is like way out!!

New Skyhomes are finally here! You are now able to rent a luxuriously private sky home on the new Central Park Area. Central park is soon to come on the ground level. In the sky are luxurious skyhomes, fully furnished with a terrace and front yard on each home.

Virtual Adventures is proud to announce that an agreement has been reached with "Mokalatae Blinker" to administer the Downtown New York sim. The steady development of Manhattan City gives us the confidence that MokaLaTae Blinker and her team will do an excellent job in managing Downtown New York to the high standards we all expect.

VA has long been a leader and ground breaker in SL and RL development and the administrative burden of managing Downtown New York (former Nederpoort) had become an impediment. Now with the excellent ability of MokaLaTae, VA is free to develop and implement other virtual possibilities. Javabox Kawanishi and MariadelCarmen Bekkers (current CEO's) will focus on a healthy development of VA In-world and VA as a real life company.
VA will keep a close eye on the daily development of all sims it has founded. It is to our collective benefit that the high VA quality standards remain intact.

MariadelCarmen Bekkers, CEO, states “It’s a delight for me to be able to say that we reached a satisfactory arrangement for both parties that benefits all of our community members. Going forward, I will have time to focus on future VA projects. My interest remains in virtual community development and the fashion business. My first focus will be further development of Fashion Exposed!!”
